Plastic Lined Piping Systems
Plastic Lined Piping Systems

Handling acids, corrosives, hazardous materials requires the best piping systems available. Plastic lined piping combines the best of both common piping systems, metallic and nonmetallic piping, into one. We can quickly furnish any fitting configuration and pipe pressure rating you require. Uniform plastic wall thickness is guaranteed not only in our plastic lined piping but, in all plastic lined fittings as well. All our lined steel products are cycled from ambient through their temperature ratings prior to shipment!

Metallic pipe is subject to corrosion but, carbon steel is the most common material used for process piping. Metallic pipe is strong, easy to work with, and inexpensive. But, even mildly corrosive fluids can rapidly eat away, from the inside out, severely limiting the safe and economic use of metal piping. Serious contamination of the product is certain.

Stainless and alloys offer greater corrosion resistance. Mildly abrasive liquids quickly "sand" away the oxidation, protective film, on the piping. Stainless steel is most often "eaten" away at its welded joints (areas). Metallic piping is also subject to chemically induced stress cracking.

Nonmetallic piping, fiberglass and thermoplastics, does not have the physical strength of metallic piping. In addition plastic piping can become brittle due to leaching plasticizers in acid service. Plastic piping is also subject to ultraviolet attack.

Our plastic lined piping systems provide the chemical resistance of plastics, fluoropolymers, and the inherent strength of steel, or alloy metallic piping systems. Maximum safety is assured using our plastic lined piping systems. Including flanges, fittings, spool pieces, or your special configurations. Every item is warranted 100%. Each fitting, spool, configuration is spark tested with a minimum of 10,000 volts insuring lining continuity and system longevity once in place.

The lining material is inert and selected for the service. The temperature, operating temperature, ranges from minus 20°F to 500°F! The metal pipings components only require routine maintenance.

Our specialty department, Corrosioneering, can fabricate numerous configurations, lined in a seamless homogenous liner material eliminating "troublesome" joints. Our systems provide the lowest pressure drop in the industry, 1/2" through 12". Bonded and locked in liners insure against stress cracking over a wider range of applications. All lined fittings are standard ANSI dimensions after lining.
